What was your character all about in the film?
My character in 'All The Best' is a very funny character, he is a kind of a con man, not exactly though because he just thinks that he can con people, he thinks that he is very intelligent, very brilliant and can fool the world with his intelligent ideas but the reality is that he himself is a fool and every time he comes up with an idea he lands not only himself but everyone else in trouble.
How was it managing the dual role of actor as well as producer?
I think it wasn't very difficult when you have a team completely prepared and planned and you have everything in place. To add to it, you have a star cast who is so co operative that they consider it as their own film, so as a producer it was very easy. As an actor I had to do what I ought to do for other films.
Was the success of 'Golmaal' and 'Golmaal Returns', the reason for you to have Rohit direct 'All The Best' as well too?
I think that was never the reason, the script is always the main reason, when we heard the script we said that this was the film we want to make and luckily it was a comedy, maybe that is the reason why this thought comes to mind. But I think it was the script which really pushed us and we wanted to make a comedy and when we narrated the film to all other actors they jumped at it and got very excited and we started the film.
How was your experience with your co stars?
Fantastic! Sanju is a friend of mine so we had a great time together. Bipasha and I get along very well as we have done quite a few films together. Mugdha was very sweet, she came and she gelled along with the team very well. I got to know Fardeen well with this movie, I think he is a great guy and quite easy going too.
How was it working with Sanjay Dutt, who has a great comic timing?
I think it's fantastic. In fact everybody's comic timing is fantastic in this movie, and that's why the film works, when you see the film and see how everyone has worked and had fun too you would realize that. There is no doubt about it that Sanju has a great coming timing, and after the 'Munnabhai' series you would realize how brilliant he is with comedy.
There are two other major releases 'Blue' and 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna' due for release on the same day, does it affect you?
For every film, I guess a solo release would be better, but they are from different genres and ours is an out and out comedy. Diwali is around the corner and it is a time when you feel like being happy and entertained, so I am not really worried.
