The Central Crime Station (CCS) officials have registered a criminal case against veteran Telugu actor G. Krishna, his brother and five others following the direction of a local court in connection with a private complaint filed by P.S.S. Anand.
According to the complaint, in 1988 Anand's father Babji had given Rs. 14.5 lakh as finance to Padmalaya Movies, which is owned by Krishna and his brother Adisheshagiri Rao. Using the same money, Padmalaya Movies produced and released Rajakeeyachadarangam, but Anand alleged that the money has not been returned yet.
He stated that after his father's death, the actor released the film by renaming it in violation of the agreement provisions. Later, Anand filed a civil suit for recovery of the money, but the actor presented a forged consent letter of his father during the proceedings, prompting Anand to approach a local court seeking registration of a criminal case against the actor.
The CCS officials registered cases under Sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating) and 467 (forgery) against Krishna, Adisheshagiri Rao, Vijaya Productions Lab (Chennai) and its employees Rammohan Rao, Ravindranath and Gopalakrishna.
